An excellent translation will never read like a translation: it will appear to have been originally written in the target language, and will express the same content as the source text in a natural, idiomatic tone that is sure to be understood by your audience. A legal, financial or corporate document, for example, will require a different approach to a text about fine art, music or travel. As a matter of principle, I consider these nuances in all my translations.
I translate from German, French and Italian into English, my native language, covering a wide range of subjects, with a strong emphasis on the arts. All translations are meticulously researched, employ the correct terminology, respect cultural differences and take clients’ preferences into account. I maintain a dialogue throughout the translation process, clarifying terminology and discussing content where necessary.
